About Aircules, an AC Company in Texas

Our Story

After 16 years of learning this business from the inside out, I cashed in my 401k and never looked back.

I’m not kidding when I say inside out. I started working at the counter of a big supply house. What I didn’t realize at the time was that there was a part of this industry that made me sick.

For every licensed and insured company trying to do the right thing, it seems like there are 10 unlicensed cowboys making big promises, doing bad work, and taking advantage of people.

The big companies and national chains aren’t much better. Fancy commercials, ridiculous coupons, and paperwork that would make a lawyer blush is just the beginning with those guys.

The more I learned about how this business worked, the more I wanted to go out on my own and do things the right way. And that’s just what I did.

After the supply house, I went to trade school, came up as an apprentice, and got promoted fast. Over the years, I’ve worked on everything from huge commercial systems to tiny homes.

One of the first calls after we opened let me know I made the right decision. I went out to give a second opinion after somebody else insisted the customer’s system couldn’t be fixed.

I’ll never forget what I saw that day. It looked like the wires had been chewed by an animal, and there was oil all over the place. It sure looked bad, but I saw something else altogether.

Sabotage.

The other company did a good job making things look worse than they really were. There was no leak. The oil that was all over the place was put there on purpose to scare the customer.

I replaced some wires, cleaned up the mess, and left with a story can’t forget. What I’d like to tell you is that it was an isolated incident, but that wouldn’t be the truth.

Over the years, we’ve fixed so many messes left by other companies that I stopped counting. If you want to know the secret to our success, it’s not really a secret.

We treat everyone like family, answer questions in plain English, and work for a fair price.

That’s why we’ve been growing every year. From the moment you call us, you’ll realize we’re nothing like other companies, and that’s something I’ll always be proud of.

Consider this an invitation to see why our customers share our number with their friends and neighbors. We might not be superheroes, but we’re the best choice for comfort in San Antonio by a country mile.

Sincerely,

Doing the right thing isn’t something you should have to ask for

Selling you a new system isn’t always the best choice. If it can be fixed, we’ll fix it, and if it can’t, we’ll take the time to show you why.

Comfort by the numbers

You can relax because numbers don’t lie. See why San Antonio trusts us year after year to solve comfort once and for all.

Excuses

Did you know?

The summer blockbuster exists because of air conditioning. In the 1920s movie palaces were some of the first places with AC, so families packed in just to escape the heat. Hollywood noticed, and that’s why the biggest films still drop in summer.

Questions About Aircules, Answered

Real Questions. Real Answers.

Want to know more about our air conditioning company in San Antonio before you call? These are the questions people ask us most, from who owns the business to the credentials we hold. Have a look below, then reach out with anything else.

Who owns Aircules in San Antonio?

Aircules is owned by Abel Ybarra, who has been in the trade since 2004 and started the business in 2020. He lives and works in the Woodlawn Lake area of San Antonio, so many of his customers are neighbors. The company is family-owned, and Abel built it around honest diagnosis and plain-English service.

Why did Abel start Aircules in San Antonio?

Abel Ybarra left the big chain shops to deliver honest AC service in San Antonio at a fair price, after seeing too many homeowners pushed toward expensive replacements they did not need. His founding idea was that comfort should not bankrupt a family, which is why financing and repair-or-replace honesty are central to the business. Aircules is built to be the second opinion people in San Antonio can trust.

Is Aircules a family-owned business in San Antonio?

Aircules is a family-owned air conditioning company in San Antonio led by owner Abel Ybarra. Family ownership is part of why the company leans on honest diagnosis and plain-English explanations rather than high-pressure sales. The goal is repeat neighbors, not one-time upsells.

What makes Aircules different from other AC companies in San Antonio?

Aircules leads with honest diagnosis and repair-or-replace honesty, so the crew will not pitch a costly new system in San Antonio when a repair actually solves the problem. There are no inspection-package upsells, every fault is explained in plain English, and you are invited to bring a chain-shop bid for a straight second opinion. That honesty-first approach is the core of how Abel Ybarra runs the business.

How long has Aircules been serving San Antonio?

Aircules has operated in San Antonio since 2020, and owner Abel Ybarra has worked in the HVAC trade since 2004. The company earned its BBB A+ rating, accredited in 2020, while building a base of customers around its Woodlawn Lake home turf. That combination of long field experience and local roots shapes the service.

What credentials does Aircules hold in San Antonio?

Aircules holds Texas TDLR ACR Contractor License TACLA00102222C, a Class A license with the Combined endorsement covering both air conditioning and commercial refrigeration. The company is insured, EPA Section 608 certified for refrigerant handling, and carries a BBB A+ rating in San Antonio. These credentials are the baseline, and honest service is what Abel leads with.

What warranty comes with an AC repair in San Antonio?

Aircules backs its repairs in San Antonio with a 90-day repair warranty, so a fix is stood behind rather than left to chance. The warranty reflects the honest-diagnosis approach, since the goal is to solve the actual fault the first time. Owner Abel Ybarra would rather get the repair right than sell a part you do not need.

Why does Aircules focus on the Woodlawn Lake area of San Antonio?

Owner Abel Ybarra lives in the Woodlawn Lake area, so it is both home and the heart of the Aircules customer base in San Antonio. The neighborhood’s 1920s bungalows near Woodlawn Lake Park, which has anchored the area since 1918, were never built for central AC, and Abel knows those homes well. That firsthand knowledge of older local housing shapes how the company cools them.
